HA! Amazing, a short sale approval in just 3 dayzzzz!!!
YES, IT CAN BE DONE!!! It was with CitiBank. The negotiator was wonderful. Because I don't know her and don't know if she want's to be named or not, I will leave her name out. However, I will write a nice note to her boss and tell him/her what a great job she did.
Isn't it amazing that some banks have one person who reviews the file, sends it to the investor and can give you an almost immediate answer and Bank of America has about 15 levels that a deal has to go through before you get an answer - if you ever do.
Imagine the cost involved in BoA system. I do not think it is the Equator system, I think it is in their levels of staff and the lack of decision makers.
Now, with one person involved and a few hours of work, CitiBank will actually get the money back that they may have lost. The offer was only $5K less than the mortgage owed. We as the listing agents did a good job at getting a decent offer.
However, Never say never to a short sale, because if you learn and know how to do them, they don't always have to take months.
I'm going Monday to get my short sale designation class...then I can use those wonderful (a little sarcasm here) letters after my name...
Anyone else get a short sale done quickly?
