Denver Saturday in April ~ 84 Degrees on April 2 and I'm not Fooling!

Yesterday, on 4/2/11, it reached 84 degrees in the Denver area.  Today it is snowing.  And I'm not fooling!

I took this photo yesterday in Broomfield, CO, northwest of Denver.  My son had an away lacrosse game and had to be there an hour before game time so I took a walk and loved the area.

That's one thing you'll learn if you are relocating to the Denver area and you have kids - if they play competitive youth sports - you'll be doing some driving.  We traveled from Highlands Ranch to this game while my wife and my daughter went even further to Fort Collins for a soccer game.

It was a beautiful day, record setting temps at 84 degrees.

And what a difference a day makes - after an incredibly windy night, it was still quite warm this morning but dropped suddenly between 10 & 11 am and started to snow.  We only have an inch on the lawn, but it was in the 30's this afternoon.  A 50 degree change in temperature in about 18 hours.

That's Colorado for you!

Happy Spring!

Love the 84 degree weather but you can have the snow.

We used to get dramatic changes like that in New England - it was always such a shock with how the weather could shift.

Love the photo with the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

Jeff - yesterday my son was sweating on a field and finished his water before the game started it was so warm out. Today he never wanted to go outside, too cold.

OH WOW!  We are only supposed to be in the 60s this weekend so I imagine that means more (won't say the four letter word that begins with "s") for YOU perhaps in the near future!

Condolences in advance!

It was a bit cold here yesterday but it is warming up again, hopefully it will stay that way for both of us.
