Holidays and Holy Days and Showing homes

By
Real Estate Agent with Lucas and Associates

Every year at this time (as well as at Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc), your friendly neighborhood, Green Designated REALTOR gets calls from buyers or other agents who want to see a home on the holiday weekend. Well, see, that might be an issue...

Spring brings roses

See, people enjoy their time off. And, when holidays have a religious significance, like Easter, that amplifies the desire that people have to be able to enjoy their day with family, friends, or just alone.

"WAIT," they say,"don't they want to SELL THEIR HOME IN HOOVER, BIRMINGHAM, VESTVIA, or TRUSSVILLE?

"Sure," I reply, "and I want to sell homes in Hoover, Birmingham, Vestavia, and Trussville. In fact, I LOVE listing homes in Hoover, Vestavia, Birmingham, and Trussville and helping people buy homes in Hoover, Birmingham, Vestaiva, and Trussville. That is why my website lets you search for homes for sale in Hoover, Birmingham, Vestavia, and Trussville, as well as Leeds, Moody, Pinson, Gardendale, Homewood, Mountain Brook, and much more."

"But, more than that, the home-owners also have lives that matter to them. Some of them have reasons the home cannot be shown that are personal and valid. Some don't, but it does not matter. It is their home and they reserve the right to show it or not. Please understand that the home will be there Monday, too."

Most of the time, this is not an issue. Sometimes it is. All that I ask is that we all respect someone else's time and desires as much as we expect them to respect our own

Great post - very timely.  Comes down to respect and understanding.  Enjoy your Easter Sunday - at home and not showing houses. :)
