When I stayed at the Rivera Maya in Mexico, I visited Tulum which is an ancient walled city built by the Mayans which faces the sun sitting on the top of a bluff with spectacular views of the the most beautiful Turquoise Caribbean water.
Tulum (which means wall) is very unique in that it is one of the only ancient cities surrounded by water and walls in order to protect themselves from any approaching enemies. It's a great place to visit if you're ever in Mexico - I highly suggest it!

My son just got back from there. He loved it! Went snorkeling, rappelling, zip lining and swam with sea turtles.

Kristine: I have been very few places - spent the last 30 years raising a family and education them. But I have been to Tulum. Your photos are marvelous! I know mine were nowhere near as good. Thanks for the memories. Remember how small the openings were? I am short so I can say that. There were even small for me!!!
