Milestones are markers that we can look back on and see how far we have come and where we still want to go. As a mother, I kept milestones of when my babies, turned over, crawled, walked, said their first word, cut their first tooth.
I am posting this because I have crossed a milestone on Activerain. After a few comments here I will have accumulated 100,000 points, on 203 posts since December of 2006.
I have a passion for new Activerain members just learning to blog. I was on the phone last night with an agent wanting to know how I got there and what I could recommend to him to help get people reading his blog. The main thing I told him was to reach out to people and get to know them, comment on the posts you find interesting and write from your heart. Practice Reciprocity.
I don't post but 2 or 3 times a week, because I don't post for points, I post what I feel is important for people to know, important information for the consumers in Ann Arbor and Saline, MI, and things I am feeling in my heart. Period.
However, I told this new blogger that I comment all the time. Probably on 50 or more posts a day, I comment because I enjoy a post, learn from it or want to reach out and encourage someone new to join the Activerain Newbie's Group so they will learn faster how the community works.
I am dedicating this post to all the people new to Activerain, with an encouragement to move forward, hang in there, and write what is important to you. If you feel no one is commenting on your posts, don't stop. Continue to write good content and grow in your commenting. Don't give up. It took months for me to get a few comments and my first post was zip. (Well, until someone mentioned first posts so I finally got a comment 6 months later) LOL
I wrote a post on Because of Activerain............... in September and there is nothing new to add to it.
Just a big thank you to everyone that has:
1) Enriched my life,
2) Encouraged me,
3) Made me laugh,
4) Taught me more than any Broker,
5) Any NAR class
6) Any Coach.
You all know who you are! See ya in the rain.
