Since horse racing is not a major legal sport in Virginia, it is not at all surprising that the colt is unaware of the significance of today's 137th running of the Kentucky Derby. You may also be unaware that Virginia is generally given credit for the development of the American Quarter Horse - you thought we only reared Presidents. (8 of them to date)
While I love horses I have never owned one, but my husband and I have sold Prince William County property to people who either owned or raised them. If you want to keep a horse or livestock the minimum lot size requirement is two acres. Obviously, you need to contact the folks at Prince William County Zoning Office for more specific information regarding the requirements to own or raise horses legally in Prince William County.
There are numerous horse boarding facilities in Prince William, but Criswood Farm at 5304 Hoadly is, as far as I am aware, the largest close-in facility in eastern Prince William County.
