Motivational Monday-It is hard to let go

By

Did you have experience feeling like you are at the rock bottom sometimes, it's like nothing goes right, everything goes wrong under the sun?   It's like one step up and two steps back, like we can never reach the shore.

I know a few people who are going through some really rough time right now, if anything can go wrong, it went very wrong. More worse is it is out of anyone control, no matter how hard they try.  Then, you start to question yourself, what did I do wrong?  Is it me or is it only a bad dream?  Will everything be okay when I wake up?  Who can give you the answers?

It is real hard to stay focus when things go haywire, it distracted you so bad that you may even feel somewhat depressed.

What I learned in the process and what worked for me was to let it go.  Let the stress and sorrow go, have faith in things will get better.  Pray for strength and have peace within yourself. When you can really let go the worries and let the higher power to take care of it, you will feel so liberated. It is like you come out from under a boulder.  You can't think right when your mind is congested, and I know you don't want to admit that you can't fix it.  We don't want to think we are failure, we are not.  We are just in the situation that beyond ones ability to take care of.

I just shared this with someone last week, and he told me it is real hard for him to let go because he simply doesn't think he can't fix the situation.  His stress is eating him out, he constantly has that guts wrenching feeling, and believe me, he has tried every way he can handle.

I truly hope you will manage to go through the temporary hard time you are facing right now, things will get better, it will, you just have to have faith and don't give up.

A beautiful and thought-provoking post Rita.  Some people simply cannot surrender the control.  They have to hold onto it like a lifesaver even tho it is sinking them.  Surrendering is not quitting. Surrendering is having faith that something better is on the horizon.   Good luck to your friend. - he's lucky to have you!

I'm SO understanding this right now, Rita.  I am not someone I would consider "depressed".  I don't like feeling down and pick myself up pretty quickly.  However, recently, I've come into situations that have gotten me extremely down.  And, it's hard to let it go.  Especially when it involves people you have the absolute highest respect for.  But, you just gotta step back, take a breath, acknowledge what happened and move forward.

Rita, what I try to do is focus, address the issue, do the best I can to correct things and then step back and let go, leaving it in the hands of a higher power, knowing I did what I could and now its not up to me.  Great advice and hope things clear up for you and your friends.

Rita...letting go can be a very difficult thing to do at times.  It is the best thing to do whneever possible, but I know from experience, that it isn't always possible

Susan, it is harder for some people to think they can't fix everything, we all think like that from time to time.  God has his own way to show us how to and what to do in situation like that, as long as we have done every possible way to take care of things, everything will be falling in its own place.

Lora, that's what I do, too.  We have to try our very best first, can't just sit there for an answer.  It is not me, but I had a couple of people who I shared the same conversation last week which leads to this post.

Bill, I focus on letting the emotion go after I tried everything, I refused to let stress eating me out.  I know there is situation only when the power above can take care of.  It works for me whenever I run into situations like that.

Sometimes we don't have the answer or the best plan. Letting go, often has better results.

Hi Rita, The battle is not ours, it belongs to the Lord. WE need to have faith, trust in him and lean not on our own understanding. Our God is a deliverer.

Rita, Times get hard and situations outside your control can contribute to sadness and loss of happiness and contentment. Taking things one step at a time helps but some things also take time and that is a very individual thing.

Great post Rita. I have to admit, sometimes I have difficulty letting things go myself and I would be much better off moving forward. Like you said it is about having faith and not giving up. I think faith and carrying a positive attitude has made it harder for me to fall into these traps.
