Selling a Condo? Sell a Lifestyle!

By
Home Stager with Staging Seattle, King & Snohomish Counties

Staging helps buyers visualize themselves living in a property and making it their home.  When a home is vacant, especially if the layout feels a bit awkward and the rooms are small, potential buyers have difficulty envisioning how to use the space and where to place their furniture.  Staging sells a lifestyle.

This condo in picturesque downtown Edmonds (a suburb of Seattle) was a perfect candidate for staging.  Within walking distance of the Edmonds Center for the Arts, cafes, art galleries, public library, beach, ferry terminal, and shopping, this condo is in a great location.

Take a look at the dramatic transformation of this condo achieved through staging.

Adding those colors really helped the otherwise bland walls and wood trim, too!  Gorgeous!

We as REALTORS are always telling our buyers to "visulize"; which is fine sometimes, but how do we know what the Buyer is actually visualizing. Staging makes a statement without say a word.....SOLD!

Superb.  It makes such a difference.  I once paid a stager to work with a seller and afterwards the owner put most of the items back in their original places again.  Eventually sold the property by getting the owner's son involved!

Diana - I bookmarked this to show clients the difference.  I think staging reduces days on market if we can get the price right.

Beautiful job.  Love the brown headboard.  Is it all one piece?

Debra - The brown headboard is one piece.  Plywood covered with a nubby soft fabric.  It's heavy, but a fun piece!

Beautiful pictures.  I'm about to stage a house I just rehabbed, and was debating about pictures.  I saw that you put some up, and they make a difference, but I didn't want to make a bunch of holes in the wall.  Any advice on that?  Can you send me a message?
