Dover Bay Cafe just two miles from Sandpoint, Idaho

As another beautiful summer shines upon Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille, and North Idaho the NEW Dover Bay Café is updated and upgraded by the experienced restaurateur Gary Peitz and his team. You will remember fondly his Dish Home Cooking was featured in Country Living magazine and voted the Best New Restaurant in Sandpoint. Gary and his family gave a comfort zone to dining in Sandpoint. Also returning is Eddie Sneva who won the annual cookoff at the Sandpoint Summer Sampler. Many of the great and popular menu items will return, augmented by fresh seafood to compliment the experience of waterfront dining, with fare that leans on a Pacific Rim flare. Tired of fighting downtown parking? Dover Bay Café is just two miles from downtown Sandpoint with plenty of parking. The Dover Bay Café takes in spectacular vistas overlooking the Pend Oreille with awesome sunsets, live music and dancing, a full bar, and an innovative and creative wine list. The idea for the restaurant is to provide things not found in typical area dining, such as an outdoor grill, blankets on the lawn, and music events the entire summer. Dock your boat in the marina, take a stroll along the nine miles of trails, or bike to your favorite summer eatery. Boat up, walk up, bike up, or even swim over. Dover Bay Café will be the place to be this summer, fall, and winter, with views of the water and martinis made right. So come to Dover Bay Café to enjoy a great plate of food, or just relax in the reflections of the boats on the water with your favorite glass of wine.

Opening May 18 for lunch and dinner just in time for Lost in the 50's and enjoy Dishlishous food.

Gary Peitz is an experienced restaurateur operating many fine dining establishments. His experience in the main was in the Bay Area, managing such restaurants as Piatti Ristorante, Evvia, and The Wild Hare. His Dish Home Cooking was a favorite amongst locals. Joining Gary is Eddie Sneva who won the annual cookoff twice and was the chef at such local favorites as Trinity and 41 South. Also joining Gary is Gary Lirette, formerly of Commander's Palace in New Orleans and author of Passion for Wine. Their goal is to provide world-class fun and food as their experience has taught them our local community loves.

The facility itself is designed to seat several tables outside overlooking the water, plus air-conditioned inside seating with broad windows to soak up the view. The restaurant overlooks the Dover Bay Marina in Dover Bay Resort, North Idaho's world-class waterfront community. With acres of park-like grounds and miles of trails, Dover Bay is the ideal place to have your most memorable dining experiences.
