Shuttle Endeavour Liftoff

Paul, I wish I had been able to be there.  This was a beautiful shot, as they usually are.  The space program will be missed terribly around here.

Kathy, I am sorry to hear that you missed the shot. Would you have been able to see anything in the sky from where you are?  There's one more, and the shuttle program is done.  So sad for so many.

Chris, Wow, lucky for you!  Seeing a shuttle or a rocket liftoff is really a lifetime opportunity - something you'll never forget.

Maggie, Agreed - it is a bittersweet moment for so many.

John, I also wish you could have seen it in person. It's an experience in itself.  Well wishes to the crew and KSC for a successful flight - great thought.

Yolanda, You're right - the Atlantis is scheduled to go in June.  And that will be the final launch.

Myrl, The television captures incredible views of the shot.  I watch it on TV until liftoff and then run outside to catch it when it comes into view for us here in Melbourme.  It's a site that always gives me goosebumps.

June, You're welcome. I wish everyone were able to see at least on shuttle launch.  And a trip to the Kennedy Space Center about what they're doing in space is so interesting.   I know you were fortunate enough to catch a rocket launch while you were here locally.

Bob, There are so many, with your sentiments, that are sad that this is Endeavour's last flight. Such a shame.  We have learned so much for these missions.

Kevin, Did you watch it from home?  Or did you come in to see it?  I know that you had indicated that you wanted to.
