Rain On Our Soldiers

By
Home Inspector with ACSI American Construction Specialists & Investigations

Memorial day is coming up May 30, are you ready.Memorial Day 2011

I was wondering, how do you spend that day?

Why is it only a day? Some of these soldiers gave their life or were wounded badly and we spend a day or two remembering them.

I say lets start a movement on Active Rain.

Lets show our appreciation to those that served our our country all week long. I doesn't matter if it was in the military, Police, Fireman or some other way they served show them you are thankful

Don't forget to let their families know you appreciate their sacrifice as well.

If half the people on Active Rain showered those that serves and their families with gratitude this country would be a much better place.

So here is the question:

How will you spend Memorial Day?

I always give military families 10% off their Inspection fee. This week I will be giving more.

I think this is a huge idea! I come from a military family My dad, his dad, my uncles, my step dad and myself. I am going to suggest to my team leader we do something extra special for the vets and the actives this year and in the future. ( J )

Allen, It looks like your team could get it started in Texas. Start spreading the word.

Rebekah, Tell all the agents in your area to start spreding the word. Feel free to re-blog this to get the word spread.

Karen, you already fooled my once this week by posting a blog story about an experience someone else had. By looking at your picture, I don't thing you are old enough th be the mom of any enlisted person, let alone a discharged Marine.

Anyway, lets spread the word, and It would be great if we had some ideas for people to share. I have one agent in my area and she just bought 200 small flags, she carries some in her purse and if she sees someone with a miliatary style hair cut, she asks if they have served, if the answer is yes she gives flags the that person and everyone near by to honor that person.

(By the way, she has a big purse) I spoke to her today and she is seeing if she can get a deal on 1000 flags so I can distribute them to other agents to do the same.
