My Swedish husband and I visit Stockholm, Sweden every year. Below are photos we’ve taken.
Stockholm is situated on 14 islands between the mouth of Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. These islands are connected by bridges and walkways, creating wonderful wide water views of other parts of the city. It’s easy to understand why Stockholm is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Stockholm, often referred to as the “Venice of the North”, is also known for its great architecture, beautiful parks and its cleanliness.
The real estate market in Stockholm has been booming. The average price for a condo in downtown Stockholm in May, 2011 was around $859/square foot. The average price for a house in the greater Stockholm area was around $442/square foot.
