Real Estate Business Is Getting HOT!

Beautiful California...... The weather is getting warmer and at mid-month here in the valley, there have been over 200 homes sold. We have expanded into our a larger office suite in the Riverlakes location and have hit the floor running. We are averaging 8-15 calls per day on new prospect calling on our listings, on line referrals are pouring in, referrals with strict deadlines to sell or buy are coming on board and we are grateful for organization and a great team that helps us execute our clients' requests. Please note, that this is the climate not only for us but for many agents in our office. 

If you are not involved in a transaction to sell or buy you might ask, why such a demand on a down-turn market. OPPORTUNITY is screaming whether it is investing, down sizing, up sizing, leasing, commercial purchase, first time home buyers, low interest rates......you get the picture. This is a great time to make a move. Speculators might say that it is best to wait because the market might perhaps drop in value, the best thing to do is to research and speak to an agent who can show the numbers and overall statistics to confirm that it is the best time to buy. We work a lot with investors and on business acquisitions where the numbers do the talking. There is a reason why they are executing in confidence. In Bakersfield we have noticed a stabilization in prices and retention in value in various neighborhoods.

Another reason why we feel we are noticing an increase in the real estate market is that the inventory has opened up with more houses available on the market. About one year ago I often referred to the buyers market as "the Piranha" effect. We would list a house and bite, bite, bite, 24 hours later you have multiple offers. I will say that it is still the same way with homes that are attractive and in high demand, but nevertheless having more homes to spread out is great for buyers. The population has increased here in Kern County bringing a lot of re-location to our valley, not such a bad market for homes.
