Better Than New. (Home Staging in Houston and Katy, TX)
Not so long ago I found myself at a client’s house about ½ hour early for an appointment. Rather than possibly inconvenience the client, I decided to take a look around the neighborhood. Not too far down the road I stumbled onto a Goodwill resale shop. Never one to pass up a chance to find a bargain, I parked the car and went in.
I made my way to the back of the store where I thought I might be able to find something for my staging business. Within a couple of minutes I had found the sweetest chair. It was well made and sturdy. The price of $7.99 was hard to beat. I gave the money to the cashier and loaded up, pleased about my find.
It was time to meet my client so headed back to her house. When I arrived, the client started showing me around. As we headed up the stairs, I noticed a little table in the hallway. My client waved her hand at the table and said, “Ignore that thing; we’re getting rid of it.” As I was completing my notes on the house, I asked my client if I could buy the table from her. She replied, “Really? You can have it!” Delighted, I put the table in the car along with the chair I had bought earlier.
The transformation I planned for the table and chair would be easy, but I was looking forward to the final result. The chair would need new fabric for the seat, but a little paint would take care of the rest. The picture shows the end result, and I am delighted. This sweet chair and little table are better than new as far as I’m concerned. For about $36 I was able to make two excellent additions to my staging inventory.
Whether your house is ultra-contemporary or leans more toward the traditional, Memorial Staged Homes will develop a staging plan that will appeal to most buyers. I bring the same creativity and enthusiasm I had for this chair and table to every staging project. Take a look at the picture gallery on my web site, and if you like what you see, we should talk. I would enjoy developing a staging plan that is just right for your house.
Wishing you a quick sale!
