I'm selling my own house (and remembering what it is like to be a seller)

My own house is on the market right now.  It has been since the beginning of July.  It is no piece of cake.  July, as you may already know, is the second least favorable month of the year to on the market (at least in Minnesota where we all go on vacation the one month of the year it is basically guaranteed not to snow).  When my clients want to go on the market in the summer, I always tell them that's fine, just not in July.  So, as you can see, I'm already a difficult seller.

The season isn't the real issue with selling our house.  The market is tough, to be sure, but our house is staged, clean and easy to show.  I think it is well-priced.  The biggest issue is that it is on a busy street.  Almost all the feedback we get from the agents showing it is that their clients like the house, but not the street.

As an agent, I know that it will just take the right buyer.  Afterall, we bought it, and there are people living on busy streets everywhere.  But as a seller...wow...it is hard to wrap my brain around.

Do you have any marketing ideas for selling homes on busy streets (just two lanes, but also a bus route).  Thanks!
