West Linn Renassaince summer solstice celebration kicking off the Farmers market

Yes! I can now enjoy some locally grown fresh produce, meander through some artisan booths, while listening to some live entertainment..all within one mile from my home! " Tomorrow night though, it will be Renaissance style with with roving minstrels, jugglers, and lot's of fun in the making that kicks off the New revitalized West Linn's Farmers Market. West Linn's Farmer's Market & Summer solstice celebration I know as a new member of the Promotions and the Farmer's Market commitees, I've watched in awe as this thing has come together! I can't say as I had much to do with it...but I'll be there tomorrow night ready to do what's needed! Oh..and I'll be ready to shop as well!

With a puppet show, a game area for kids, music, food and fun for the adults, this will be a fun evening for the whole family.

This Summer solstice event is Located and hosted by Historic Downtown Willamette Main Street in West Linn and will run from 5-8PM. The Farmer's Market will run every Wednesday from June 22nd to August 24th from 5-8PM as well, with each week being themed.

Cindy, I think what I miss are certain "treasures" that living in a city offers...one of them is the choice of which farmer's market to go to! Beaverton's was close to where I lived. I'd go there, and occasionally meet a friend at the Hillsboro one. Saturday Market--while not a farmer's market--is one I miss because I used to be an artist there for years....3 LONG ones.

There is the 2nd largest market statewide(Saturday type and farmer's) in Astoria, but it is on Sundays I think and an hour away. My hubby isn't up for that because he's only home on the weekends and just wants to stay around the house. So, I don't get there hardly ever. I miss the locally grown produce, and being a vegie, it's truly special to have around the house! That and fresh flowers (which I get faithfully at Trader Joes, when I come into town).

So, count your blessings and enjoy yourself for me!

Hi Gayle, Oh..now you're going to have to show us some of your art that you sold at the Saturday Market! There are so many really great Farmer's Markets in most areas we are lucky. I love Trader Joes as well which is right down the road from my office. Hey, we have the closeness of things for sure..but you have that youth fountain lake there!

Hi Jill, Summertime finally came! YES! It's been feeling like fall here for a bit so nice to finally feel a bit of heat and sunshine. Tonights going to be a busy one, but can't wait to see this all come together.

Hi Will, that's what I loved about this neighborhood when we moved in. The Historic downtown area and parks are so close with lots of activity going on throughout the summer. Time to get my box of summer clothes out...finally!
