When I get a closing I do an “abhiaya”.

OK after this one only three more to go and I’m done with the National Spelling Bee.  In my former office the PB stated she liked to do this but I won’t tell you what she called it.  Anyway my problem is that I don’t do it often enough.  Now for the meaning of Abhinaya is a concept in Indian dance and drama derived from Bharata's Natya Shastra. Although now, the word has come to mean 'the art of expression', etymologically it derives from Sanskrit abhi- 'towards' + nii- 'leading/guide', so literally it means a 'leading towards' (leading the audience towards a sentiment, a rasa).  So may we all do a happy dance when we have a closing and may you have many of them this year?

Hi James,

HMMM.... I was just thinking how I could use the word in the daily wordage.

How about this.

A client calls and says he wants to pay me to do a very simple inspection. It will be a full fee for a simple inspection.

So after I did the inspection I did a Abhinaya dance. I was over joyed.

There you go my friend.

Not much of a dancer, but in these economic times the ability to do many "happy dances" is a great thing! Enjoy the day!
