A question you will never see on "Meet the Press."

In these tough days, we need ever bit of marketing help we can get.  (No news to you, I'm sure.)  The folks who are hosting my new web site have suggested that the best way I can drive new business from "never mets," is to use a system called "pay-per-click."  It is basically a way to drive folks to your web site by raising your profile on Google and other search engines.  The minimum cost is $100/month.  Has anyone out there tried pay-per-click  Any feedback?

I haven't tried this...I doubt there's any guarantee that potential clients will head to your site once they've found you on Google. That might be worth the fee.

Yes and you will not have to spend 100 a month. Look at Google adwords. Their system is not the only one but it is the aesiest to figure out and use. You set a daily budget so you may set say 2.00 a day which would make your budget 60.00 Now when you key in your ket words you will find out after you tell the system how much you want to pay per click where you will appear. InAtlanta you may end up around 100 a month for the right exposure. But there is no minimun of 100

I forgot a further strategy may be to share the cost with agents and pay more per click. You can then pop up 3 or 4 agents and let the consumer choose. You split the coast monthyy between you all

Question is, what keywords will $100 a month buy in Atlanta.  Then the question is, how many impressions will the ad produce.  Then the quesion is what will the CTR be with $100 a month and it that enough.

Google is where the action is, but I'd be studying the Google Guidelines to try to get my web page to rank well in SERP too.

Good luck.  Getting well ranked is tough.

I used pay-per-click strategies successfully in venues other than real estate.  I've just started using a pay-per-click campaign with Google to promote my website.  Been using it for about 2 months now and don't yet have a clear idea of whether it's going to produce results for me.  I'm going to give it another couple of months and then evaluate.
