Summer Fireworks

By
Home Inspector with JRV Home Inspection Services, LLC HOI 394

The Fourth of July has just past, a day intrinsically associated with fireworks. All summer fireworks are constant, found under the warm blanket of a summer nights sky, exploding in brief, booming brilliance. Yet near the ground others inaudibly reside in sun baked meadows, forests and back yard landscapes, blooming bright colorful. Ooooh.....

Lily in the sun

Did you put your thermal camera on it to see if those fantails from the explosion put off any heat signature?

I can tell you that from a distance they do not!

Ahh! Nice photo and a good point! Nature is popping all around. We don't need to wait for Independence day! And no fire hazard either. LOL

Nice shot. You caught it at its peak. it's good to record them because they are not called 'day lilies' for nothing.

JQ, love daylillies! I have a bunch of them, but none that colour! Everything is starting to bloom here so we're having 'fireworks' too! Enjoy your garden!

James, I was just thinking how this crop of summer flowers is more firework like than in years past. Perhaps the harsh winter has some lasting good effect?

Betty & John, These lilies are every where you look right now in CT.

Jay, No thermal camera, but this flower almost looks like a thermal image.

Anne, Right, you won't get burned admiring these blooms :)

Carol, Yes, Jay always has an interesting perspective :)

Harry, Yes it is.

Scott, The colors are as fleeting as summer.

Robert, These are very prevalent around CT right now.

Peg, If you love lilies, you would be in heaven around CT right now.

Charlie, Really!? Interesting. The bloom and the root?

Peter, I wouldn't be surprised if that's why.

George, Yes they are.
