In our marketplace inventory is down significantly, so Open Houses would be a great vehicle to not only hook potential buyers for that property, but also to pick up potential other new buyers for other properties if they don't want to wait on a short sale.

Price is always the main factor in advertising any listing Short Sale the like.  Posting listing on various internet sites helps with the exposure not to mention office tours, and local MLS Association tours, plus marketing to your sphere of influence and past/current clients.
