I use for my Treo everything in and out of real estate. I like to share tips with other professionals and my tips may be easy or advanced, but certainly useful. This blog addresses the three resets that you may need to do with your TREO. Your treo can get tired, uncooperative, difficult and may not feel so well. There are three fixes, or reset that can be done to get your treo back in shape.
1. Soft Reset is done if you experience your treo shutting off, or not going where you want it to go, or, just getting stuck. Pull the batter cover off. Take your stylus, and press on the reset button beside the battery container. Then, put the cover back on, and your treo will be back in service. It is equivalent to rebooting, or restarting your computer. This is the most common reset. It freshens up Treo. Tells Treo, "hey, do it my way."
2. System reset is a higher level reset, and useful when Treo is really being stubborn. Take your stylus, press the reset button beside the battery container, and also, hole down at the same time the up arrow button on the front of the treo.
3. Hard reset is something you hopefully will not have to do. You will literally loose all your programs, memos, memory. It is starting over again. Make sure you periodically backup your data. I do on my laptop, and I print copies of everything. Only do this if you have do. Again, press the wonderful reset button and at the same time, hold down the phone off button on the right side of treo's front side.
