Social media giant, Facebook, recently partnered with Internet video chat service, Skype™, to provide users with video calling. The added video-calling feature marks another step in the evolution of social media as it increases transparency between all parties. The new dynamic in social media communication presents opportunities to professionals striving for interactive real estate transactions.
What can you do with this new video-calling feature?
For REALTORS®, video calling provides the opportunity to improve communication with potential clients, home buyers and sellers. Face-to-face communication with potential clients in different locations or experiencing scheduling conflicts is now possible by simply logging into your profile.
Video calling also provides an increased level of transparency that goes beyond hearing a disembodied voice over the phone or a receiving a written message online. It feels more like meeting someone in person as opposed to just another phone call.
Does it save you money?
The time and costs associated with travel are reduced significantly when clients opt for video calling instead of meeting in person.
Coupled with the right real estate technology, video calling presents an opportunity for REALTORS® to facilitate an entirely interactive experience. It’s very easy to do, especially when clients can communicate with you in a familiar space such as Facebook.
While it can’t replace all forms of communication, video calling has the potential to alleviate a lot of unnecessary “choke points” presented in the transaction process.
How are you using technology to streamline your business?
