Home Stager Addicted To Glue Gun

By
Home Stager with Stage and Sell by Stacy, LLC

This week was a shopping and organizing week.. I have several projects beginning next week and I was looking for harvest decorations.  A local floral and craft store had some absolutely beautiful floral arrangements and harvest wreaths.. with some absolutely outrageous prices.....  What to do????   Until this week, I have never attempted floral arrangement requiring more than just sticking flowers in a vase....  But as I walked around the store, I realized duplicating their arrangements would not be that difficult....

I loaded up on supplies....glue gun, glue, wire cutters and flowers, fruit, pine-cones...etc....  An investment of $60 yielded 2 door wreaths and a centerpiece..... FYI... The wreath I duplicated with $49.99....  The store is Trees and Trends..  I believe they are a national chain and all the floral supplies are 20% off this week.. They also give discounts to designers...

You will see my first attempt in the below photo...

You have done a great job!  I too love the glue.  When you want to do a lot at one time...try the "pan-melt".  It's glue in a small pan that you just plug in and scoop out with a wooden spoon, spatula, whatever.  That will save the glue gun burns!  Have fun!

kathleen,

I read your blog on the fall wreaths and the centerpieces.......  What is the glycerin you referenced in the fall wreath blog?

Glycerin preserves and keeps the leaves soft - It is in Drugstores and on line - you can also put a little in some water and soak your feet after a hard staging day in your spike heels and they will be soooo soft.

Stacy,

Great job! I am known as the Glue Gun Queen in my household while my husband is the Duct Tape King. We both couldn't live without 'em.

Has anybody used 'Museum Wax' to glue items to each other or in-place?  Have a small container and was going to try it out.  Of course it wouldn't work on this beautiful wreath, but I'm talking napkin to small plate to larger plate to place-mat for a place-setting???
