Join us for Naked Occularpation in front of Wall St. Manhattan Apts: Monday 8/1/2011 @ 7 am

This interactive performance art is to protest the veil of secrecy of the financial institutions on Wall St. It is a 5 minute naked performance of people and jobs that make up the Wall St. demographic.

There are 12 zones across the entire Wall St from Broadway to the FDR Drive.

I will be in zone 1 & 2 which is the busiest and closest to the NY Stock Exchange and Trinity Church. I hope to see you all there!

I will be posting photos and a follow up on what happend during this naked performance. Stories, stories, stories, to come!

If heard of these types of demonstrations going on all over the world for different causes. The only question I have is: will the police try to arrest or detain the protestors? I’m curious to read about how this all works out and since I know better than to trust the media I’ll be looking forward to your follow up posts.

Janna: Ha! Ha! I am helping out and taking photos. I would rather that my clients not have accidentally seen me in the buff in a Wall St. protest! I will be holding the clothes for a Wall St. prostitute. There will also be a naked policeman, religious worker,and restauranteur for my zone. There are 10 other zones but I do not know what "jobs" they are supposed to be doing naked. I would figure stock broker as one of them :)

Suesan: They cops will just ask that you put your clothes back on, and the actors will oblige. But there are only so many cops around that by the time they get to everyone, the show is over. That's why its only 5 mins. By the time the cops are onto it, it is over.

I left Manhattan such a long time ago and have only been back twice for a few hours to attend family funerals. In my day Wall Street had cops on almost every corner, then again we probably had more cops. I’m still going to check back in with you to get the update. Get the update… stay safe.

Seems like a very interesting and effective way to protest. Please post some pictures to let us know how this turned out.

On any given day, there is always a protest in Manhattan. But you "barely" ever see a naked protest.
