The McNeese State University Student Union or " The Ranch" ,as it is better known by Lake Charles locals, will soon be full of activity once again. McNeese State University located in Lake Charles, LA is preparing to welcome students for the Fall 2011 Semester beginning August 17th!
Remember your first semester as a college student? If you remember anything about your college years, you will probably recall having to take care of a lot of details to get ready for the Fall semester. Returning students have the advantage of already knowing where to go on campus and where all the buildings and departments are located. However, all of us at one time were the new freshman wandering around campus with a map in our hands trying to locate our classes!
New Students preparing to attend McNeese State University for the 2011 Fall Semester should plan on waiting in lines in order to obtain McNeese parking passes, student IDS, and semester fees. Helpful reminders students should be aware of can be found by visiting the McNeese State University website.
Wake up and start your day early, you are going to spend alot of time in line taking care of all your student identification and fees. This activity will probably be a bit easier with a cup of coffee in hand or a Red Bull to get through the day. There are several coffee shops located nearby the McNeese State University campus. Starbucks, Village Coffee, and McDonalds will become your frequent favorite spots. However CC's Coffee located in the Frazier Library on campus is also convenient.
McNeese students will also want to check out the McNeese Bookstore where you will spend more money on those textbooks you are going to need for the Fall semester! You might as well go ahead and Become a Facebook Fan of the McNeese Bookstore to stay up to date.
It can also be challenging finding a parking spot. Students may also want to print the McNeese Parking map for quick reference. Trust me you don't want to park across the street at McDonalds on Ryan Street and have your car towed!
