Does it matter what picture one uses on your website?
Should the picture be one of a professional nature?
Thanks Shelly, you do have to work everything out together to maximize on the value of what you are doing. We are just converting to a Wordpress Site to plug in our blogs.
Shelly,
i actually had websites before AR, but then stopped maintaining them. And I also do not have any other Social media presence.
And not that I can find myself on the first page of Google for most of the keywords. And still 80-90% of my business come from those blogs.
Not that I am against a website, absolutely not, but for the last 2 years I am completely on AR blog.
The funny part is that I do not write a lot of real estate blogs.
Hi Shelly,
Great tips! You just gained a new subscriber! :)
Blessings,
Laura
Thanks so much for posting and congratulations. I am very entertained by your post. Thanks
Erv ~ I'd suggest your main profile pic be your best professional one. Sprinkle in other personal ones, sure, or have a link to your social site saying "Click here to learn more about Erv". Thank-you!
Ted ~ Great to hear, but hopefully you'll still have your separate blog site so they can link to each other, it helps with search engines, and visitors like that feeling of researching you on multiple websites.
Jon ~ That's great news, and AR is known for stellar google search rankings, but you never know what extra biz you would have coming in if you had a professional website too. If it's working for you, like I said everyone's strategy varies and you sound like you're content which is great!
Laura ~ Thank-you and all the best :)
David ~ I'm working on "Telling the Story" and I guess I'm getting better, thank-you for the compliment!!
Shelly - I do not want to disappoint you, but it was not a compliment from David. He does not read blogs. He is here for the points. As one member called guys like him, his is a robo-rainer. He left a very similar comment on a blog, where the member described his wife narrowly avoiding death ina collision.
David also was very entertained. It would be funny, if it were not sad.
However, I read your blog, and it is really good.
Ouch - Jon - I think you might be mistaken.
If, in this case, it's a generic 'thank you', it doesn't mean it's a robo comment. In fact, I just noticed your comment only because I came back to click the 'SUGGEST' button today and to re-read the blog. I have read the entire post and I liked enought to re-read it. We are finishing our website and trying to see how best to integrate our work/blog/MLS&IDX, etc.
This has some priceless ideas. So, thanks again Shelly - really. I have flesh/blood/pulse/etc.
Was my comment last night worthwhile, no. It was simply and acknowledgement that I liked your post. Arghh.
David
