Murfreesboro TN is so fortunate to have The Center for the Arts Murfreesboro TN Anything Goeslocated in our downtown district on W. College Street.  There is nothing more enjoyable than attending a live performance or musical at The Center!  The upcoming show is sure to be another great one.

Anchors away and come enjoy a rip roaring good time on the S.S. American cruise ship.  The Arts Center will be presenting Cole Porter’s Anything Goes September 9 through September 25, 2011.

The characters lovers on board this ship are quite unique.  There is Reno Sweeney, the former evangelist turned nightclub singer who has a fantasy love for the stowaway Billy Crocker.  But Billy is in love with the engaged heiress Hope Harcourt.  Add to this mixture Moonface Martin the notorious gangster and his sidekick Bonnie who are trying to blend into the crowd by disguising as a minister and a missionary!

Anything Goes is an award winning Broadway musical that features great songs such as “It’s De-Lovely” and “Anything Goes.”  It was made into a motion picture in 1936 and starred Bing Crosby and Ethel Merman.

Sherri, it does make a big difference to have such a nice center in your downtown area.  It draws people together and is good for other businesses.  The town of Gilroy has such a center planned for their downtown area, however, the funds aren't there yet.  Hopefully we will be able to enjoy the benefits of a cultural center in the near future.

The City of Morgan Hill just north of Gilroy has a beautiful cultural center which is also the location for our local REALTOR and affiliate meeting.

Sherri, that is fantastic many cities and town do not have such cultural centers and the locals have to go far away to enjoy such a great performance. So we know where you will be in the evening when you do not answer your phone:)
