Encouragement - Pass It On!
This is a great message passed on by Myrl and now I have the pleasure of passing it on to you all. A little bit of encouragement truly goes a long way...it really does :) So when you have the opportunity to " Pass It On" please do, because you will create a positive chain reaction :)
I am heart-warmed by the “Encouragement – Pass It On” movement. But how could one not be heart-warmed by the video of the boy, who seemingly escapes his parents side in the concert hall audience, only to show up on the stage playing his rudimentary version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the piano. The master pianist quietly steps up and sits beside him for a very special duet - Encouragement – Pass It On!
I was in a reflective mood this afternoon, and deeply into recognizing certain people that have entered my life at pivotal times, while introducing a special spark of encouragement, which seemed to inspire me to try things I would have once thought impossible. Our lives are evolutionary in growth. It often takes an event, a special person, or special something acting as catalyst to ignite change or action.
I came out of childhood not having a great deal of confidence. I often was concerned about my capability of doing certain things.
But about 30 years ago, I developed a really close relationship with an extraordinary person, which was key to my turning a lot of that confidence stuff around. Legendary Sacramentan, and Olympic Swim Coach, Sherm Chavoor, was one of those rare human beings that could see potential and make self-doubters reach inside themselves and believe they could do the unthinkable.
Sherm was the main reason I entered real estate as a profession. When my kids swam at Arden Hills during the 1980s, I had a little swim supply business that sold the Speedo and Arena swimsuits, and swim gear that many Northern California swimmers needed. Sherm would say, “You could sell snow cones to Eskimoes. You should sell real estate.”
What I realized earlier today, was we often look around and see individuals in our midst that possess certain talents not being developed. Perhaps they simply need someone to act as champion to spark belief they can do the unthinkable.
What if a new dimension was added to the “pay it forward” concept, and we made it our goal each day, to touch at least one person, with an idea they can do great things and accomplish something really special.
Many times we see brilliance in others, they do not recognize in themselves. Let them see themselves through your vision.
Just a simple plan to elevate the existence of mankind.
