My mentor? Here is has been Active Rain for one. I've learned more here than anywhere else in real estate!

I think everyone has SOMEONE if they really think about it.  REALLY THINK - it's someone.

Christina has been known to kick me when I needed it -- in the fanny.

I always have to choice to listen and get moving, or to ignore the advise.

The idea of a mentor is often not obvious right away. Sometimes it is not until they are gone that we realize the were  mentor. As we get older and things change, we shift to new ones. Having had many incredible people mentor me, they are with me even when they are not here.

My parents, definitely. I remember my pop telling me that I was his favorite (out of 5 kids). Him and mum made us all feel special and gave us each tons of support in whatever we chose to do. We (us kids) only found out a couple years ago that pop told EACH of us that we were his favorites. Silly dad had us all thinking we were his favorite (even though I know I really am).   ha!

I don't have a particular mentor where real estate is concerned. But there are dozens of people who inspire me - other agents, motivational speakers, thought leaders in our industry. Always good to surround yourself with successful, positive people.

I can still remember my supervisor at the bank where I worked at the ripe old age of 18.  She would openly compliment me and inspired me to do more.  Because of her, I was transferred to 5 different departments and a raise along the way in each.  I'll always remember her gentle way of praise!  Thanks for the memories.

Definitely my husband and partner.  Life would be very different without that inspiration.

Gosh where to start...my uncle was like my brother.  a principal in my high school always pushing me to places to lead within the school, my grandmother, Greg & my daughter, and of course Active Rain has been full of mentors!!  :)

Both my Mom and my Dad are my mentors for different reasons. I find motivation from different avenues during the work week but, go them when I need sound advice, a reality check or motivation. 

I can't say I have ever had a Mentor, always wanted one. I have had a few inspirational people in my life: My dad who taught me the meaning of "saving a buck" and my mom who taught me "treat people like you would want to be treated". Both of these lessons have taken me far in business.

My mentor is my dad (Bryant Tutas). He was breaking into the business when I was a teenager and I remember thinking man that looks boring. Haha.  I went a different way in life and joined the military. I spent 14 years in the Marine Corps and by the time I was done I was ready to be my own boss and do my own thing. What better career than real estate right? So I called him and asked him what he thought of me joining him with the company. He's always there to lend a helpful hand or just listen to me vent. But the best part is that he always has the right answer. I don't know how he does it but i always walk away feeling better and with the answer I needed.

I have a wonderful friend here at my office. We problem solve together, and celebrate our successes together.

When it comes to my work, I have a friend, Kay Faulk. She's a fellow copywriter whom I have never met because she lives on the other side of the country. When either of us gets "stuck" or insecure we holler for help, and it's always there.

My husband, Vince, picks me up when I need it. My work mentors, though, are all of you here in the Rain. I've only been in business a little over three years, and I've spent a LOT of that time in here, lurking, chirping up now and then, but mostly learning the ropes from all of you. Thanks.

My father has been the most important influence in my life.  As I grew up and older my rock is my wife in my life.

I've had quite a few mentors at various points in my life. Thank you for making me remember them.

Great question.  I have always relied on myself, but my mom was the one I always went to for assurace.  I am still saddened by her death last month.

That is a tough question.  I have had so many mentor, from my Dad to a the President of the 1st company I worked for.
