Redding CA - Saturday was a Great Day - Farmer's Market - Dead Bluff and More--Yesterday was such a wonderful day. Fall is here and we were out and about all day. Started with the Farmer's Market. I went looking for my special pumpkin....and found it. We brought home veggies for the weeks menus and my RAM came for my machine. Installed the RAM this AM....I'm blazing now!
We also headed down to Red Bluff to see a car. We are in the market for a 4 wheel drive vehicle for Winter. I called it Dead Bluff in the title and seriously, it is a charming little town with historical charm. We stumbled on a lovely spot to take some photos and enjoyed our trip.
Here is a great show of our pumpkins at the Farmer's Market. I also forgot to mention that inspired by Toni Weidman, I bought two Lantana plants so that I can attract butterflies in my little courtyard garden. A lavendar one and a yellow and pink one. I'm going to plant them in the same container. They were at the Farmer's market grown locally. Love that! I will share photos once I get them planted. Excited!
Our pumpkin is in the second photo and is a "Cinderella" pumpkin. It is a French Heirloom pumpkin and I just love the color and shape. They are suppose to be wonderful for eating. It was only $3.00. Next week, I am getting one to make pumpkin pie. Yeah!
The pumpkins in the front that have green on them are the Cinderella pumpkins. The one that we bought is not in this photo.
See that pumpkin with the perfect stem....well that is the pumpkin we brought home. It's on our front door step now in honor of the Fall season.
