Real Estate Is A Contact Sport

By
Real Estate Agent with Client First, Realtors - Canton, MI

Selling real estate is a contact sport. I have been on the receiving end of many sharp elbows. But if I am to be honest, I have thrown a few myself. Tired, frustrated, exasperated, irritated... I have many excuses. But, instead of coming up with an excuse I should have come up with an apology. Integrity is one of the most important attributes for me to protect. So, I recently studied how I want to apologize with integrity in the future:

1)            ADMIT TO SPECIFIC ACTIONS AND ATTITUDES.

2)            DON’T MAKE EXCUSES.

3)            ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES.

4)            CHANGE YOUR BEHAVIOR.

5)            ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2

Scott, I love the Title, "Selling Real Estate is a Contact Support".

And the quote from Proverbs is spot on.

Scott, I try to go the extra mile and not get in the dirt with some real estate agents. The Lord is watching us and I don't want to disappoint him!
