When I became a Realtor a few years back, I thought about 50% of us would be gone by this time. The number in our area is about 65% gone. But as they say "All Real Estate is Local" and this may not be true everywhere.
Everyone Keep Smilin' and keep diggin'!
Our association is down about 20% over a couple years ago and our state association has dropped from about 215,000 to 164,000 this year with a forecast of 152,000 next. You folks have had a tough market too but if you get in and learn a work ethic you'll be sitting pretty when the market turns. Many of the folks who got in during the go-go years simply weren't ready for a tough market and have gone on to greener pastures - or just out to pasture.
