Wow ~ was all I could think of today, after flying one coast to the other, to leave again.
I came from California where the weather was awesome, back to Florida where there was flash flood warnings to leave again first thing this morning for @ 5am for 7am departure...only to find a few hours after I landed
that it was "snowing".... YES, Snowing!!!
WOW, I was like a child looking out the window.
I know for some that is not a very welcome sight...I truly do understand. I hope everyone is safe & with power & snuggled in for the night! I feel like a child every time I see snow. I used to take my daughter skiing every year & it has been a few years since we have had the opportunity with schedules, etc.....these times remind me, we need to go!! :) I know the resorts are going to be stoked.
I hear that it will be a bit interesting over night, so I am not sure what I will awake to tomorrow. I have to say, in this half a century, that this was the very first time I can remember it snowing....or at least that I saw... it snow in October!!
November...December may be a little more often, but October? I pushed the rewind button & said "no", I don't ever remember seeing SNOW in October...
I re-blog Deb's blog about change....She had a different meaning for it, but I don't think that anyone can deny that we are as a world changing.
Be Safe & "try" to enjoy the moments. As a Florida girl that "loves" to go and play in the Snow every year....it was just like I was seeing it through the eyes of a little girl again. I couldn't go out in it very much as all I brought was a sweater, as I truly wasn't expecting it...especially since I left California yesterday with beautiful weather, then Florida where it is almost always warm & then only expecting a mild fall climate, but it was unique to know it was history in the making...I hope though everyone else is safe & warm.
These were some of my photos today & one of the treats to help me with winter. Stay Warm & Good Night.
I found this at the grocery which was a bit comical considering.....
(you have to look at the brick & the roof to see the snow...they were fat flakes...but too warm to stick during the day. We will see tomorrow)
This may get me through the morning for my cold morning ahead :) May be this was a divine way to keep us at home. Have a wonderful weekend & be safe!
