Did you know you don't need to be a Mississippi REALTOR to read The Leader online? As a matter of fact a visit to the MAR website is a great place for any one to visit who is planning to buy or sell a home. (I particularly recommend reviewing forms that you may use in your future transaction.) Legal Ease tends to be one of my favorite articles of each issue. The subject this quarter is inducements. Legal Ease is located on Page 5 and 6 of the Fall 07 issue.
In a nutshell, the article stresses the fact that Mississippi Real Estate Agents can lose their licenses by offering rebates, though offering a reduced fee is okay if supported by documentation. I would rather just tell you what my rate is in person... I'm not the cheapest, I'm not the highest--actually I don't know for sure what the other guys charge. As a matter of fact, I don't understand how anyone can tell you they will save you thousands of dollars unless they do know what each agency is charging relative to services.
If any buyer or seller wants the low down on real estate competition and a broad range of your choices please go to: Competition in the Real Estate Brokerage Industry . Also, for any state if you want to get prepared for appraisals as regarding buying or selling a home, I highly recommend spending time at http://appraisalscoop.com .
