If I could save 3+ hours a week... I promise I would call my family more. I am guilty of spending too much time working, blogging, Facebooking, writing client letters, networking, and neglecting my family that lives out of state. Even the family that live here in California... I just don't call enough.
Facebook has been wonderful for reconnecting with old friends and keeping up with clients. But most of my older aunts and uncles don't really utilize Facebook-- even if they have an account.
I have an Aunt Sally with breast cancer, and an Uncle Pat with bladder cancer-- they both live in Denver and I visited them this summer. They don't really use Facebook-- heck, my Aunt Sally doesn't even own a computer. The only way to reach her is to call... and I am guilty of not calling enough. We all make excuses-- but I really need to make calling her on a regular basis--- a priority.
My other Aunt Mary Kay... their sister, is carrying most of the weight. Because she is healthy-- she is the one taking both Aunt Sally and Uncle Pat to their treatments. Sometimes they both go at the same time... to the same hospital. She is an angel. Her unselfish care of her siblings goes above and beyond. And she is the older sister. Since both of my parents are gone-- this is my family now. I need to call her more too. I have shared a photo of my Aunt Sally and my Mom, Penne.
I have just started using Docusign... and it really is amazing how easy it is to use. Not only for me-- but for my clients. With all of the time I am saving ... I promise to call my family and spend some of that extra time telling them how special they are to me...and how much I love them.
