Old Fashioned Tractors at Heritage Harbor DaysOrange Beach and Gulf Shores, while wonders in and of themselves, are surrounded by many fascinating areas and events as well. You could experience some great quality time with the family—and learn a little history—by  going to Heritage Harbor Days right in the center of the historical downtown Foley, AL. This is a way for people of today to remember their ancestry and celebrate it so it can continue to be passed through the generations.

Heritage Harbor Days is a two-day festival, celebrating the historical aspects of Foley, AL and Baldwin County. There are activities and events for all ages, so be sure to bring the whole family along.  The kids will enjoy the Children’s Art Village, the meet and greet with Thomas the Tank Engine, and don’t forget to stop by the Model Train Exhibit where children’s train rides will be offered. Bring your appetite because Kent Rollins, the Chuck Wagon Cook, will be there with his succulent food. However, Orange Beach residents might prefer some good old Alabama Oyster Shucking. People come from all over for this event, in the past as many as 40,000 have attended.  Those coming from Gulf Shores may especially appreciate attractions like the Wooden Boat Show, and let’s not forget the Antique Tractor Show.

Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, Nov 5th and 6th (9am – 6pm). The Heritage Harbor Days is not only a fun way to commemorate the history of Baldwin County, but a way to bring people together and encourage camaraderie among the community.  It inspires family members to spend quality time with each other. This event gives local businesses a way to be involved in civic activities and receive some economic benefit, all the while celebrating the evolution of Foley, AL and Baldwin County into what they’ve become today.  For more information and a schedule of events visit the Heritage Harbor Days website.
