Five houseboats and floating home sales occured during October, extending a strong year of sales on the waterfront. Three sales were houseboats, one was a floating home, and the highest-priced sale was a slip in a new development for floating homes.
The houseboat sales on Northlake Ave in Wallingford were a new construction houseboat and The Ark, a large, custom-built cruiser. On Ewing Place in Westlake, a smaller houseboat sold for $50,000, one of the lowest-priced sales of the year. The small floating home in Eastlake on Fairview Ave sold for just $238,000, a particularly-low price for the floating home market. The new slip's sale at $685,000 on Fairview Ave will likely house a luxury floating home in the near future.
