Are You Immensely Thankful and Ever Blessed? I Am.

Sitting in my quiet place of reflection today, I woke up with thoughts of thanks. It rained here very hard this past weekend and it really got me thinking about how the world really works. As I looked out the window this morning, I noticed new blades of green grass. They are a direct result of the rain. It made me thankful for the rain but it also made me think about how we sometimes see rain as a problem. It slows down Southern California traffic and sometimes is cause to change our plans.

Rainy Day BluesRain is like some of the problems that we face. These problems, like rain, often are unexpected. They get in our way and often cause a huge mess. We are often in survival mode while the rain ensues. But once the rain lifts, we are often able to see how we are so much better off just like when we get through the distress of our daily problems. The rain brings about a natural cleansing along with beautiful skies and rainbows. It brings the fresh blade of grass. This weekends rain brought clarity for me. I am immensely thankful for so very much. I am blessed with children who adore me as much as I adore them. I am blessed with a supportive spouse who bends over backwards to ensure that our family is well provided for. I am blessed with parents who made sure to raise a woman that could be sure of herself and find joys in even the simple things. And I am blessed with the rain that comes in life in the forms of pain and seemingly unbearable hardships at times. For those things do not last. They are but a passing storm that are induced to bring greater rewards and strength later. Are You Immensely Thankful and Ever Blessed? I Am.

Hi Keisha,  Even the rain, or problems in our life, can be a blessing if we pay attention to it!
