I had a call, yesterday, that was generated from my on-line presences.
Not solely from my Active Rain blog (although that was certainly part of it), but from looking through what they were able to find when searching for Realtors, and then clicking-through, from link, to link, to link to see what they could find out about me.
I had a lovely conversation with this young lady about the home search that they're beginning. She and her husband are first-time-buyers and have been searching online for a while, but have finally made that scary, scary leap by actually contacting a Realtor. (gasp!).
As we all know, many buyers are hesitant to contact us, until they're really ready to start looking, as they're concerned that we'll be high-pressure, and goodness-gracious, we might pressure them into buying a home NOW!
When I receive a call I always ask how they found me, and I learned that they'd found me online. Yay! My online efforts are paying off. And when I asked a few follow-up questions... like "What made you decide to call me, specifically?" It was a surprisingly simply response.
"We are first-time buyers and your website indicated that you work with first-time-buyers". And indeed, "first-time-buyers" is the first bullet point on my Coldwell Banker website.
We Realtors consider these bullet points rather silly, 'cause... "of course" we work with first-time buyers... and second-time, and third time... Do we work with buyers and sellers... unless you're an exclusive buyer's or seller's rep... well, d'uh!! Will you sell me a condo?? of course!!
But clearly, in the eyes of the public... these bullet points are important. They touch on exactly what the client is looking for, and it resonates with them.
