12th Annual Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce Spelling Bee
Thursday, November 8; 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Media Center, 420 W Stadium Drive
This is not your grade school Spelling Bee! The Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce Spelling Bee is an event where adults can join in and make a meaningful impact on education. Packed with fun, this popular fundraiser features teams of enthusiastic spellers competing in teams of four. This event raises money to support Wake Forest, Wakefield and Rolesville area schools to fund teacher grant initiatives. Either a business team or a team of teachers sponsored by a business, have 30 seconds to write down a word. In the first two rounds, if they misspell a word, they can get a "buy back". This is where the audience comes in. The teams try to convince someone in the audience to pay $25 so that team can keep playing. The Spelling Bee will take place on Thursday, November 8th at 6:00pm at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Media Center. This event is open to the public. For more information, contact Jennifer Ingulli, Deputy Director, Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce at (919) 556-1519 or jennifer@wakeforestchamber.org.
