It’s a Wonderful Life, the 1946 holiday classic film starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, is coming to life on stage at the Center Stage Theater in Shelton, CT weekends  through December 17.

Center Stage recently relocated to the old Lafayette School at 54 Grove Street, Shelton.

This production, with a cast of 40, and ages ranging from 8 to 70, is the biggest production yet.  The play will be featuring all actors and actresses in the greater Shelton area.

Times for the play are as follows:

Fridays and Saturdays through December 17 beginning at 8 p.m.
Sunday matinees, December 4, 11, and 18 beginning at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students

It’s a Wonderful Life features character George Bailey who has always put others before himself.  After he misplaces an $8,000 loan, he becomes depressed and suicidal on Christmas Eve.   George’s guardian angel, Clarence, appears to him showing how many lives he has affected.

After George sees what life would have been like in Bedford Falls had he never been born, George realizes he has truly lived a wonderful life.  The saying,  ‘Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings’ originated in this movie.

Visit Center Stage Theater for more information or call 203.225.6079 for a reservation.

Ed -- If you were in that show, I would be front row center. That would be a perfect casting and a performance not to be missed.

Peggy -- You're right about live theater.  I like going to Broadway plays, but some of these local theater performances really hold their own and are just fantastic!

Bob -- Thanks. This movie is on my most favorite list of movies not just for content but  I am a Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed fan as well.
