Holiday Greeting Card Contest - A Message to My Colleagues

The POSITIVE ATTITUDE for the Weary Soul group gives you the opportunity to share your creative side during the holiday season with a creative writing challenge. Join in on the challenge with the  ActiveRain Holiday Greeting Card Contest!

For this contest I decided to create a greeting card for all of my colleagues because it's been a challenging couple of years for all of us in this industry and I wanted to express my appreciation and admiration to those who are continuing to be successful by meeting these challenges head on.

I chose this picture because I loved the beauty of these glass witches balls.  Hanging in the window of the florist shop I visited, they looked so lovely with the sun shining through I couldn't help but admire them, not only for their beauty but for what they are designed to symbolize - protection from evil, prosperity, inspiration, and life.  What they symbolize is a good message, I think, so I wanted to share it.

Best wishes to all in 2012.

What a great card.  I never heard that term before for Witches Balls, but I guess I learn something new everyday.  So glad you are back on AR.

Lisa

I love the Witches Balls - they are so reminscent of New England, my former home. What a wonderful sentiment expressed in your photo and your message.

Happy Holidays!

Jeff

Hi, Michele - thanks!  These are actually witches balls - glass orbs created somewhere around 300 years ago and used to keep evil things out of a home and good things in!  I thought they looked like ornaments, too.  :D

Hi Andrea - I love them...I would have one of every color in all my windows but it might be overkill...LOL
