Christmas Tree Recycling in Johnson City Tennessee

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Checkmate 260532

Christmas tree recycling is an event that takes place every January in Johnson City Tennessee.  We have a designated spot, Winged Deer park at the recycling center there. You just need to get your un decorated tree to this spot and the city of Johnson City will do the rest.

They will actually make mulch from some of them, but most of them end up in the lake for the fish to create their fish habitats with.  Watch this very short video on Treecycling in Johnson City Tennessee.

Our community offers that as well and it sure makes it much easier for the citizens to act "green" to recycle.  Nice clip to include in your post!

Tree recylcing is so necessary as doing our small part in saving the environment.  I hope everyone is encouraged to recycle their tree every single year.

Cindy, I did not know that Christmas trees could be used for fish! Pretty amazing! I just put mine out on the curb for pick up the 4th but don't know if ours go into mulch or for fish habitat.

Cindy, love the video! Funny our trees were no where near the recycle centers here. They actually shred our and use them on the hiking paths throughout our park system.

Its the beginning of February & we are now taking our tree down. Is there any other way to recycle the tree at this current time? Thank you in advance!
