There are Realtors who have 15 friends on Linkedin...there are Realtors who are not a member of a service club...there are Realtors who are not members on any outside group. For the most part they struggle to become as successful as they can become. The best marketing is indirect marketing...join a group and become an advocate for that group. I know a fellow who made Toastmasters his only marketing program. He became involved with the club and then the area levels. When there was a contest, he was there to collect the money. He was seen at every Toastmasters event and he became well know and therefore he became very successful in his real world business. We deal with people and we must get known anyway we can...if you join a group become a good member of the group. Find out what the group goals are and help the group reach those goals. I am in a club with several Realtors who just "show up"- because of that I have noticed that it would have been better for them had they never joined.
