Rye New Hampshire
Rye NH is one of those bedroom communities where if you blink you would miss the town center. But, if you were to drive along the coast you will never forget the dramatic views of the rocky shoreline or the majestic view of the Isles of Shoals as it sits awaiting your visit about 10 miles off shore. Driving along coastal route 1A in Rye you can see some of the most prettiest views you will see along the east coast. Monika and I usually try to make a drive along the coast at least once a month during the winter and twice to three times during the warm summer months. It can be really beautiful as you pull off to some of the vista view points on a warm summer breezy evening and sit and watch the waves crash along the jagged rocks along the coastline. The smell of the salt air and low tide brings a whole new meaning to way life should be. You have to love the ocean to know what I mean.
Rye NH Real Estate Market
As we finished 2011 we reflect back on the home sales for Rye and we compare them to the home sales of 2010. Home sales in 2011 were up 4% over home sales in 2010. But, home sale prices were down 12.5% from 2010 to 2011. Days on the market were down 6% which is a good thing for sellers. With prices down and interest rates at historic lows we look for another great selling season in southern New Hampshire.
