Mystery solved - I found it!

Have you ever heard a tiny piece of a song on tv and wondered about the song and the artist?

So if you’re like me, you have heard the snippets of a song on the CitiBank television commercials with lyrics something like “Somebody left the gate wide open,” and then something about a runaway train. Well, I kept trying to listen closely to see if I could recognize either the voice or the song.

I finally gave up and started doing a search online, and I found her! Her name is L.P. and the name of the song is “Into the Wild” – I hadn’t heard of her, but she is terrific! Here is a video of her doing the whole song. Love it!

Congratulations to you Susan. I know how it can frustrate you when you hear a snippet of a song you love and cannot find who sings it or what the name of the song is.

Oh yeah! This is the song from the Citibank commercial when the couple is going rock climbing! I like this song! She has an interesting, folksy kind of voice.

I'm glad that others recognize the song and what I mean about wondering how to hear the whole thing and find the artist! I love it and I'm glad I don't have to simply watch a commercial to hear a few seconds of it - this is much better!

Even having been a DJ for 18 years and being known for naming songs from a single note, there are times I just don't know a song or can't get it out of my head, but at the same time can't remember who did it. That is where you can use the great application "Shazam" that you can turn on when you hear a song, it will listen and in about 10 seconds it will tell you exactly what the song is and who sang it.

Thanks, guys, for the tip about Shazam. I don't have an iphone, and my so-called smart phone is getting more stupid by the minute. It's failing fast and I will be getting an android phone. Once I get it I'll check for the Shazam and see if it's available for my phone.
