Christianity and Real Estate... The Upside Down Kingdom..... His! #3

Here is installment #3 in The Upside Down Kingdom  --  His!!

Ever had a Christian "Hammer you" with the gospel?

They look for a weakness (which we ALL have because we are human) and then they go for the jugular!

They tell you everything you already know about sin, hell, eternal damnation and Gods righteous judgement, but they do it in such a way that Gods love seems far, far away from the conversation.

In fact YOU may feel YOU are justified in how you feel
about NOT becoming a Christian because of how that
person just talked to you.

• They made me feel like dirt......
• Why didn't they even try to understand my point of view?
• I am more accepting of people than they are, that is for sure!
• If THAT is what a Christian is to THEM, I don't want any part of it.

Which brings me to the next item of guidance for living by Jesus the Messiah:

"Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. "

Gentleness can be translated meekness, but you can only be meek if you are gentle.

• One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is gentleness
• If you are gentle, you do not have rage in your heart and you
  can hear Gods voice better for His will.
• Meekness is described as ====> Strength or power under self control.

How many times have you
lost control because of anger,
only to have found you over
reacted.

I know that has
happened to me.

Several things can
lead to over reacting:

• Fear of being hurt
• Anger from being hurt
• Frustration because the same thing (or something just like it) just happened not long ago, or KEEPS on happening over and over.... but you have not learned your lesson yet.... to be meek.
• Reacting (if you are associated to or acquainted with the person who injured you) because you do not want to loose your "reputation".

Well, we have just seen how harmful not being gentle
or meek can be. Lets see the blessings of being
gentle or meek:

• Psalm 18:35
  You have also given me the shield of Your salvation,
  and Your right hand upholds me; and Your gentleness
  makes me great. (You will grow as a person in Gods sight
  and in the sight of men).
• Galations 5:22-23
  But the fruits of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience,
  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control;
  against such things there is no law. (It looks like no law can
  overcome Gods Spirit, right?)
• Galatians 6:1
  [ Bear One Another's Burdens ] Brethren, even if anyone is caught
  in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a
  spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you
  too will not be tempted. (That is the way of the Messiah)
• Ephesians 4:1-3
  I implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with
  which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness,
  with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being
  diligent to preserve the unity of the Holy Spirit in the bond of
  peace. (Everyone has a calling on thier lives by God and Gods
  Spirit is everywhere....)
• And all Christians should take a look again at the T-shirt in
  the picture above..... it is my last verse..... 1 Peter 3:15

How many of us want to be more gentle....or forgot about it along the way.
