Sometimes things seem to go to smooth,
and you don’t realize just how important the little things are.
You keep telling yourself that one day you will do them,
everyday you say it over and over, but that day never comes.
Out of the blue, something comes along and shakes your tree,
stirring up your life, telling you to wake up and open your eyes.
Your tree of life has been hit by a breeze,
that rattles the branches of your conscious.
The leaves of your thoughts slowly begin to break away,
and drift around you, making you realize the importance of them.
Watching each individual one float by you,
you become filled with sorrow.
Your chance is gone, it's been taken away from you,
all the things you wanted to do, now become something
you wished you would have done.
But at the same time, new leaves start growing,
and all those old thoughts that were floating around,
appear in a new way.
The breeze begins to gently calm down,
and you know from that day on, things will be different.
Everything you seen, everything you thought, has a new perspective,
Your tree of life has turned over some new leaves and new meanings.
