A Hazy Shade of Winter (Speechless Sunday)

Controlled burns sure can prevent some major fires. Too bad it has taken so long for some people to realize that.

Laura, it seems like March is a little early for wildfires.  I wouldn't have thought that was much of a problem up your way...guess I need to get out more.

If you hadn't told us and just posted the photos I would have thought someone had started a forest fire.  I don't agree or disagree with a controlled burn what are your thoughts?

While that top photo has a special feel to it, I am really fond of the last photo with the trail coming in from the side, and the leaves of red on the trees.  It was composed a little differently than many photographers would have done.  I like it especially, because of it's unique perspective.

Laura - I understand the rational for the controlled burns but can't help but wonder what it does to the environment. We were in Florida Panhandle a while back and the smoke from the controlled burns created a haze in the sky over the Gulf of Mexico for days.

Mmm....spring is on the way....and this will put the scent in the air...and improve the shore eye candy as well.
