Why blog?

By
Real Estate Agent with Aksland Real Estate

Simple question.  Not so simple answer.  There are many reasons why people blog on places such as Active Rain. The following things are reasons that I blog. First, by blogging, it helps keep your webpage up-to-date on a daily basis, especially if you are connected to Active Rain or the other site using RSS Feeds. Next, it is fun to do.  I enjoy whipping out my quick little input on things hoping somebody might be able to use some of the information that I have. Third, to give back to the community. By blogging we can give hints to customers on websites such as Localism as to what they should look for in a property or lender, etc.  Finally, blogging is a way to express you triumphs and frustrations to people in a community that have experienced everything you have been through and more and learn from their comments what they did to overcome the diversity.

Now other people blog for many different reasons.  However the key thing is to make sure that if you do it, you do it because you enjoy it. Have fun and blog away.

I think that you are right. There is no simple answer. I blog because I enjoy it, and due to the way the spiders work, it keeps you on the upper pages of the search engines.

Yes it does.  Though time and longevity of the site and number of back links to high ranked pages, also helps.
